Overview
The assess learning course is designed for individuals who assess learner achievements in education, training, or workplace environments. The course focuses on planning, conducting, and reviewing assessments in line with QCTO standards. Upon completion, learners will be equipped to conduct fair, valid, and reliable assessments using outcomes-based principles.
Assessment is the deliberate collection of evidence of a candidate based on outcomes. A productive well-trained workforce relies transparent, reliable assessments

This workshop is learner focused which will give learners the opportunity to harness the skills of an assessor. Our experienced facilitators will help build an understanding of the NQF and assist in the development of assessor skills. The facilitator will provide practical hints and tips, share lessons gained during facilitating and equip learners with the tools required to successfully assess learners to meet SETA requirements.
Methodologies
To assist with the transfer of skills the following methodologies will be applied either virtual facilitation or face to face:
- Theory lessons
- Role-plays
- Group discussions
This course is available through multiple delivery methods to suit different learning preferences:
- Online via Microsoft Teams – Ideal for remote learners, with interactive virtual sessions, digital resources, and online assessments.
- Face-to-Face (In-House) – Customised on-site training for organisations, providing hands-on practice and workplace-relevant assessments.
